Guys/girls... check out my buddy's LiPo charging get up! This is in place of a LiPo charging bag! I always give him friendly crap about it... but just wanted to open it up to the forums to give everyone the opportunity to comment!!:lol::lol:

Not sure about the aluminum foil...

Aye, metal foil all over the balancer board and connector area isn't the brightest idea really.

If he can't afford a proper lipo bag, tell him to find and old metal tin with a lid, just notch the lid or bottom half for the wires to exit without getting trapped. Some guys even use hollow concrete blocks to sit the lipos in ( stood on edge ) as they will contain any fire quite well.

Glass, really doesn't he know what glass does if it explodes?

He says when the battery begins to swell, he'll be able to see it and stop it from blowing up. I think while he's running over there to save the day, it will blow up and he'll get pumped full of glass shards! :fear:

I don't think Lipos explode like a bomb, they burn baby burn, with a little knowhow chaging is not a big deal.

Ask him if he will sell the coffee pot. I need one just like that. Then he can get a lipo sack. LOL...

I would be more concerned about getting a better charger. If I thought my charger could even charge with the wrong settings and blow my lipo up. Let's see your charging setup Safety Officer Sam.

what he's made there is in effect a bomb because if the lipo ignites it'll set fire to the foil which will heat up the glass and cause it to explode. so tell him he's way better off charging it in the open

Wow. That is crazy. I would just charge it out of the bag.

Cheapest easiest way is going with two clay pots for gardening. one bigger than the other. Turn the small one upside down into the bigger pot and the wires can come out of the bottom hole and the top hole will release any pressure and keep the flames down.

Then when it blows up you find clay pot pieces everywhere. Right??

I shared all the comments with my buddy... he was very amused! He did go off about the comment about aluminum foil being flammable! His point is that you put aluminum foil on a barbeque grill and it doesn't burn-- conductive but not flammable. I think he needs a little more abuse!

sure I wouldn't rely on them or any sack that's $0.99 but it sure is a million times better than your friends bomb setup

He's willing to sell this gem to the right buyer for $20 plus shipping and handling (of course).

But i thought you could only sell, traxxas products in the market place.I don't think traxxas make foil or coffee jars.
