How will THESE (http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-On-road-Slick-1-8-Buggy-Tire-W-BS-rim-/200623830667?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb61cb68b) perform? Will they grip well, or slide everywhere? Are they like a regular road tire, or kind of like a 1/16 rally's tires; soft enough to keep control in a line but hard enough to drift?

As it says in the description. They are a medium rubber compound. So I bet they are soft rubber and not hard plastic like the drift tires.
You give anything enough juice and you could make it drift. But yes these would work better for drifting then say stock slash tires.

They work pretty well but only on a nice clean tarmac surface
They get fairly skiddy on uneven rough gravel
Cheers
