View Full Version : How to install GPM knuckles

I have some GPM knuckles on the way and just wondering if they come with installation instructions. Ive heard read stories about installing the HR knuckles, and its a bit hard from the photo to see how exactly the pillow balls are secured to the GPM carriers. Can anyone who has them help clarify? thanks

Slip the pillow balls in from the front, screw in the retainer. Really not hard at all.

Yep, that easy. Just don't over tighten them, or you won't be able to turn. Lol

Before you hook up the shocks and steering; move the steering and suspension around, looking/checking for binding/full range of motion.

The GPM Knuckle has a thin and fat piece where the screw installs going through the tie rod as follows...
When installing the knuckle does the fat piece point to the sky or towards the ground or does it even matter?
I recently installed a set of GPM alum knuckles and a set or RPM A-Arms and had a hard time trying to achieve my camber/angles while allowing full range of motion when screwing the pillow balls into the a-arms. The RPM instructions in pillow ball screw turns kind of went out the window.

If you are taking about what I think you are talking about; down.
I think it matters... for the problem you are having too.

in that photo, the one on the left should go on the left of the car
