the nitro sport has a few faults considering the nitro rusty and other comparable chassis's but i think 2wd nitro anything is great. very cheap to operate and very easy way to learn on. most small blocks (high end race mills aside) are pretty easy to tune on and forgiving to the bouts of stupidity we humans are prone to.
i started with an rc10gt and tried my hand at 1/8th and mt's and i still come back to my little old gt.

ok... nitro sport, or nitro stampede to start with as a first time nitro-er... lol. whats the pros and cons of each

well from a purely chassis based standpoint the sport would be the way to go. lower cg, less rotating mass in the form of smaller tires.

I had a e-rusty and I really didnt like it, im looking for something under $300 that's nitro, has hex hardware, and would b really good for begginners would those non-traxxas buggies mentioned previously be my only good choices

merv the nitro rusty and the electric rusty are 2 totally different animals, the nitro rusty is more similar to the srt and the nitro rusty, srt, and nitro sport all share the same basic things, basic suspension geometry, wb, tranny internal ratio, and servo placement.

Choosing between the Sport and the Nitro Stampede (both EXCELLENT first nitro vehicles, by the way) will come down to where you want to drive it and how you want to drive it. If you love wheelies, do more driving in grass, and generally do mostly off-road driving, I would pick the Stampede. If you want something a little lower to the ground, something a little more stable, and a little faster, I'd get the Sport.
In my opinion, you can't go wrong either way...
