Does anyone have tips on how to tighten up the stock axel carriers? Im low on money and cant afford the aluminum ones at the moment. I think ive heard of people putting a drop of glue between the caps and where the pillow ball rubbs(apart of coarse) but im curious if there are any better options for CHEAP?
Mine have worn pretty loose. Never poped them out before though

The glue trick is the only cheap fix I've read about.

yes you can tight them, but in some cases the pivot ball pops out of the knuckle, IMO aluminum is much better.

Traxxas actually came out with with their own fix but never really made it known

^^^^Hmmm. Interesting. But for that price I'll pay a few dollars more and get a full set of RPM's--which I did.

i had rpms, the bearing holes wallowed out over time, and the balls popped out the back every run.... the fact you could tighten them was better than stock, but that is it.....

the gpms i run now, are much nicer.....

i wont badmouth rpm as a company, as i love their a arms, and they do have a lot of great products, but their knuckles suck

I have the rpm knuckles and have never had a problem with them, even running at a 15' hill at full speed on 3s lipo. I run traxxas dishes though, maybe people with titus beadlocks are the ones breaking the rpms... or people overtightening the rpm knuckles. and anyone who bought titus beadlocks obviously doesn't care about money anyways. (or performance =P)

yea the glue trick; put the smallest amount of thin tire glue on the cap where it touches the pivot ball, let it distribute evenly around, and let it dry BEFORE installing it. if it's still sloppy or gets sloppy again, do it again. temporary fix for bummer stock knuckles though. first thing i broke on my merv.

it's funny, I had to super glue my stock shocks to fix them...

I hear the hr knuckles are good too. i would like to get a weight comparison of the gpm/hr/rpm knuckles...

How tight are the rpm ball carriers suppose to be. I got a little play in my wheels. I tried all the way but when I turn left or right the balls would get stuck in carrier. I want to get rid of the play in my wheels.

Yeh the Rpms are good I use them but Idk about most people but I had to buy a wrench for them because I didn't have one that tiny. So most will have to add that cost into there total cost.

Seems like I have read good and bad about every knuckle solution out there. For me the RPM ahve been inexpensive and a great fix. I have had no issues and abused the turck a lot with them installed. Well worth the $ IMO even if I do have to replace them every so often ( So far I have not and had them pre ordered before they were available) they are inexpensive enough a new set every so often is ok by me.

RPMs are not worth it IMO, arms yes, knuckle, no.

I broke one, two, wouldn't hold bearings anymore, and that was all after about 3 weeks of running.
