I already knew that, but you seem to have learnt the hard way.

the price difference is tempting, but you only need to lightly browse this forum to see it isn't worth the effort. it doesn't even seem like a case of "if you're lucky, it won't break" anymore.

I ave the Integy center drive shafts, and so far so good. I took extra precautions though as mentioed throughout the forums.

Regarding your issue, I too was tempted by a lower price. But I did my research and decided to pay more for quality and only cry once. :) Traxxas makes and sells just the steel shafts, perhaps those will fit with what is left of your Integy CVD. A hybrid if you will. Just an idea.

don't bother with that - you'll be better off with the official CVD's or the stock ones. as you've demonstrated with the gpm ones, they are junk, and the ones you've just linked are no better at all than stock.

The traxxas cvds are really the ONLY option, however overpriced they are...

I have the the integy cvd center drive and has worked great, loctite on all the grub screws and hinge pins is key. I didn't bother with other integy stuff cuz it is crap but Ive been riding hard and the center cvd are great! But my trx cvd axles I think is bent and maybe that's y I have tire wobble issues. Now I need a rebuild kit. :(

I also purchased the Integy Centerline Drive Shafts. In about 10 minutes, one of the pins came out and trashed my rear diff housing. I was able to go in, replace that pin and lock-tight the set screws. So far it is holding up pretty good. I am keeping my fingers crossed that in the coming weeks Traxxas may have a center line drive shaft. If not I may consider a Golden Horizen the next time the Integy one goes out. After doing some research, I will never buy another Integy part.

The Traxxas cvd axles may be more expensive that others, but IMO, they are well worth it. Difference I see between Traxxas and Integy:

Integy: Cheaper parts, no directions or support.
Traxxas: Very detailed directions, great customer support, and very solid parts.

I am curious how Minimasta510 may have bent his Traxxas cvd's though. I jump, and flip mine quite a bit and have not had any issue there.

i think the solution to the center pins coming out is red loctite, its the perminent type...
+1 for traxxas cv's (diff to axles)
i switched back to my stock center drivelines, no problems with them to be honest.

I bent a traxxas cvd as well. Hit a another merv at 1/2 throttle. opps. It takes alot of effort to bend them back straight, so the impact must have had alot of force behind it.

I have a set of the new version 2 Integy CVDs waiting to go in. They are double the thickness of the traxxas ones, and utilize the same design for holding the pins as their center drive shafts. No more locktite or shrink tube. They use metal spring clips to hold the pins in. This winter when I rebuild my Merv Ill put them in.

BTW, with the Integy CVDs one doesn't need directions, as you dont need to open the diffs to put them in like you do when putting Traxxas CVDs on.
