If I install the 31T pinion, and run 3S...

Am I going to burn up my ESC? I only want to try it for two or three runs, just to see what kind of speed that I can get. A friend told me that with only a couple of runs, and a break in between, that I should be fine. On 2S it should be okay for everyday running. This thing is wicked on 3S with the stock pinion, so I can only imagine with the 31T. Thanks guys for any info.

You should be fine in shorter runs. Just keep an eye on both the temps of the ESC and of the motor. If they are to hot to rest your fingers on, stop running. That's being on the side of caution for sure.
