As long as you follow a few simple precautions
You need a main lead parallel cable and a balance lead parallel cable (or paraboard)
Packs should be at the same state of discharge (voltage) when you connect them
Packs should have the same cell count (size, brand, etc can be different)
Simply add the pack capacities to come up with a charge rate
In your case a 1c charge rate would be 4 amps

I would add ... Always connect the main power leads in parallel first before connecting the balance taps in parallel.

My rig for parallel 2S 5000 mAh packs:
Rig for two 2S in parallel on Accucel-8:
Shorty Rig for two 3S in parallel:
If your wanting to do more than two packs in parallel > http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=15&zenid=t1gdh33q2lfbq4esiungjhrqh3 You will need Deans to Traxxas adapters as they do not make a board with Traxxas connectors.
