Ok so i was just wanting to know what every one uses there summit for such as rock crawling, street driving (i doubt),bashing, or all above? The reason I am asking this question is because when I first saw this truck all i thought about is going rock crawling with it but I have done that a couple of times In the year I have had it. so what I am going to do is half way convert it over to a e-revo, but i need some help doing this. I have been thinking about this for a couple of months so here is what is hopefully going to happen but I have some questions.

1.Castle creations Mamba Monster, or Tekin RX8 with the 2000kv motor what is better for just all around bashing?
2.Masher 3.8, are these good tires for off road and a little on road? or rc4wd 4.0 mudslingers
3.Put erevo diffs in with no lockers, right now i just have them perminatley locked with hot glue which works for bruised motors
4.********* batteries 2s 5000mah
5.I really love the look of the summit shell so i will get a new one and paint it.
6.And for the 2-speed transmission can I keep it in there with the brushless power?

Any the upgrade suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Connor

The 2 speed should be fine since they make the kit for the e revo also. If you plan on crawling, it seems the tekin is the way to go since it is sensored and reported to be way smoother.

i use my summit for crawling mostly. i have a EMBE that i use for bashing duty... i have been having so much fun crawling that i have been considering building a dedicated crawler in place of the summit.

sounds like you will have a nice summit but why get rid of the diffs??

also to answer, i use my to do creek bashes (drive long distances up shallow creeks and mud holes), bash in dirt, rock crawl, hill climbs, running over my and others slashes , crawl over random stuff, take on hikes with me and my gf. pretty much anything as it is very reliable and versatile

I have never been so much outside as since I own the summit. I even long to go hiking, as long as I can take the summit with me (and some battery packs). Very funny.

I use my Summit for all of the above, and trying to make a trailer to pull my T-maxx around (If you have any suggestions check out my thread on that.) The Thing is fun to use on the road, my county drops tons of gravel so you can leave streaks in it or donuts on the road.

TEKIN!!!!!!! Why down-grade from a Summit to an E-revo?
