Hi all, I've had my Slash for a month and played about 10 times or so... feeling the shocks are stiffer than brand new and not quite dampening. Am I suppose to refill the shock oil that soon? How can I tell that a refill is due?

thanks

Take the shock off, remove the cap and check the oil level, refill if needed, 5 minute job

But unless the shocks are leaking you shouldn't have to top them up.

Check your suspension for binding. Make sure everything is smooth and flappy with the shocks off. Also inspect the shocks for damage.

So you mean normally the shock oil shouldn't be dried up so soon, right?
Ok, I will open them up and check the oil level... if I will need to refill, what oil to use?

It is likely not your shocks but your stock axles binding.

right on, disconnect your shocks and move the arms up and down to check for any binding. bent shock shafts and dirty pivot pins would also cause stiffness.
low oil will cause looseness.

And did you ever have to refill a non-damaged damper? I guess not.

not all the way maybe half way but that can be from the cap not being on tight enough now it does get dirty so you need to change it out to protect the seals

if you over fill then some might leak from the bottom seals.
