I have bought one of the camaro's on Ebay, expensive but worth it, I have no experience of brushed motors since my hotshot and hornet days 20 years ago. I will change the radio out so it will work with my Spektrum, and I'm thinking about changing the motor and esc, would you go with the VXL 3s system or with a mamba max pro and either 4600 or 5700, final option is the new sidewinder SCT and the 3800 short course. Answers on a postcard please.

I think if you plan to run 3S go with the Sidewinder 4600 system. The sidewinder ESC is more than enough for a car like this and on 3S the 4600 motor will have better low end pull and higher top speed than the stock traxxas VXL 3M system... but it wont overheat. That is the setup id be going with if I could find one of these big block motor mounts somewhere (but I cant)
wonder how the 3800 on 3s would be?

id make a mold of that body first :P its going to be worth allot more if traxxas don't release it.

The powers that be said it will not be a production model.... they said it was only meant for execs. and wasn't meant for eBay lol. Good thing I bought 3 of them... one to shelf, one to turn into a show car and modify, and one to race. No confirmation on how many were made was given. I asked.

I think its crazy that people are paying $500 for those and they dont even have a brushless system. If you bought 3 of them I guess you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

I think the reason they dont have a brushless system is because the bodies are so priceless

Buying them = booo.
Winning them or getting them as a gift = yay!
I have heard there are around 100 total. I own one, and have another 3 to give away as prizes in conjunction with Monster. Hope you guys have fun with the toys.
