Would you recommend bead locks for the slash 4x4?
If so, what ones?

No. Extra weight and more rotating mass.. simply not worth it.. you go to youtube and find video of racers running these heavy wheels... you wont find any..
If you think.. Hey.. Im not a racer... well.. the split six will give you the least trouble from proline's selection

I had a problem with the factory tires coming off the rims running a 3S battery. Went with the Proline Split Six and no more of the tires coming off. Just remeber, if you go with the Split Six you have to use there tires also.

I use the split six for beach running so I can take them apart and clean them after. Sand will destroy foams fast if you don't get it out.
Aside from that it's glue-on. Easier on hubs and drive shafts.

I run 2s and love the PL split six bead-locks, great for wet running and sandy conditions cause you can take them apart, clean and dry them.
