Heatsink/cooling fan

I ordered a integy brushless motor heatsink/cooling fan for my summit. It was only 12 bux on tower so I fugured what the heck... Has anyone tried or using a cooling fan on your motor?

yep... I have had a cooling fan once on a brushless motor..... looks pretty cool and does of course move air away from the motor itself ... my boy has a mini erevo simmilar to your Summit VXL... he has no cooling fan and wow that vxl engine sure can take some beating and water and mud a snow and wheels spinning on all kind of surfaces... the only thing he has not killed on that car is the electronics .-) great truck like your Summit VXL

Here are some pics of that integy cooling fan/heatsink. It snapped right on no problem. Runs nice and quiet.
