I am looking for some nice 2.2 wheel and tire combos. Will this thing have the same trouble as the SL4x4 with these size wheels? There just isn't any 2.8 wheels that appeal to me.

Thanks guys

This truck uses the same arms and steering components as the slash 4X4 so you cant run 2.2 wheels and tires on it. If your not interested in using traxxas 2.8 or proline 30 series wheels/tires you can always look at IMEX... they make a selection of 2.8 wheels and tires also. Unfortunately, you are stuck to this size wheel on this truck.

This really blows. I don't like any of the 2.8 wheels. If I recall, there were people putting 2.2 Revolvers I believe on the SL4x4's? I think those are the 2.2's I was going to put on my SL4x4.

I think you can mount front offset revolvers on a slash 4X4... the offset has them stick out far enough that they dont cause a problem. I think thats the case but possibly not. I dont have one so I cant be sure.

I'm not saying 100% but, (I've read) the offset wheels work but the offset makes the wheels hit the fender to an exstreme. Don't see that being a problem for the pede, as long as they clear the carriers/knuckle. You could conferm on the 4x4 slash forum.

You can run 2.2 wheels on the 4x4. Get some RPM wide wheelbase crawler wheels. I have some and they fit the 4x4 fine. I think they're like $9.59 a pair or something like that.

RPM Revolver Wide Wheelbase wheels (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=&FVSEARCH=rpm+%3Cb%3Erevolver%3C%2Fb%3E+%3Cb%3Ewide %3C%2Fb%3E+wheelbase)

Ad you think those will clear the 4x4 front suspension components, which are totally different than the 2wd trucks? You might want to check that.
