here's some pics of my old school electric hawk. i dug it out of my parents attic. it's a complete truck, however, when i tried to run it, it was "jumpy". it would go then stop, then go again. i'm going to begin cleaning it up and getting it back to "new" condition. i'll be working on it and an old street cat, so it will be a slow process.

Very cool, Ha ha your body looks almost identical to mine, except the original owner painted the windows the same color as the body on mine.
She looks complete and really clean.
Welcome to the vintage side of Traxxas

back when we first got the hawk and cat, my brother and i didn't beat them up to bad. we didn't know how to fix them if we broke them, so we played it safe. however, it's a different story with my nitro stampede.
i'm going to slowly take it apart, and wash everything. i'm not going to spend a huge amount of time trying to get everything white again. as i recall, it's always been an off-white color so i just want it all clean. i'm going to try and polish the turnbuckles, but once again, it's so cheap and easy to buy new ones, i may do that. and i want new screws, nuts etc. just so all the metal is nice and shiny. as for a new body, i'm not going to sweat it either. yes, this one has a few cracks here and there, but its almost 15 yrs old, and the chances of me finding a NOS body are like finding a needle in a haystack. i would like to find new wheels and tires, and i'll have to work on the shocks some, they are bad.
as much as i'd like to keep it all original, i MAY get a new esc and motor just so i can occasionally run it.

with the holidays coming up, i'm not sure how fast i will work, but i think i'm probably do the hawk before i start on the cat simply because the hawk is complete and the cat isnt.
does anyone know if i can get a screw/nut kit for it?

There are some screw kits available on ebay that have the majority of what you need.Worst case, you'll have to buy two kits in order to get everything and then you'll have a ton of leftovers.I've bought a couple of them for projects like a Blue Eagle,LS-II,and TRX-1.I believe the last one I got said it was for a Blue Eagle in the listing, but there was a bunch of hardware that was obviously for a different Traxxas vehicle, but I still ended up with pretty much everything I needed.
Here's the one I got:

There's also a bunch of random Nitro Hawk kits that should have what you need:
