Does anyone have a idea for an overheating TRX .15. I've richened it out as far as it will go and put full bearings throughout the car. I have also loosened the spur mesh for less friction. I seems after 1 tank with the top off the head is almost smoking. Let me know.

Your glow plug might be loose.

It is with the top off. When I am at the races during the 8min. main (with the top on) it really gets to smoke'in. I'm its going to burn up one of these days.

what gearing are you using? The car may be overgeared for the terrain you are running it on.

Nope, can't find anyone that cares

I have the stock gearing in it. I also added a MIP stinger exhaust, but it ran hot before the exhaust was put on. I received a note from Traxxas support that said Traxxas glow plugs will help out and also their fuel. Are they just trying to sell their product or is there real truth to it?

Rustler 97 is right, Traxxas engines do run a lot hotter than others. That's by Traxxas own admission. Take a look at this thread for further info...

Traxxas does recommend using there fuel and glow plugs, from what I hear there fuel is suppose to have good lubricatiion. They also say that there engine does run alot hotter than other engines on the market. You can also try a different head on it.
