lost my g clip will it effect the engine????

you need the g clip i lost mine in one of my engines. Tried to assemble it and the wrist pin vibrated out and cought on the sleeve (while i was assembling the engine) the sleeve got cought up so i shot some 3 in 1 oil into the cylinder then gave it a good hard shot on the work bench. The sleeve went in and everything seemed well until i turned it around i seen the conecting rod slid off the journal (bent it), twisted the wrist pin, shattered the piston skirt, dented the bottom of the sleeve. So i would strongly recomend getting another one.
Nope, can't find anyone that cares

ive already put it in the engine and it seemed to work fineran good

Sk0op, don't run your engine anymore without the "G" clip. As soon as the wrist pin vibrates out, it will destroy your engine. Disassemble the engine, inspect it for damage, and reinstall a new "G" clip. Good Luck! http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes, say God-bay to your little fella... My G-clip came off after porting after running about 5 tanks.
It s**** the liston and sleeve, luckily the rod is not break.

thanks N02..i ran it last night and it did fine then took everything apart nothing was damaged but i'm not going to run it anymore
