So ... how so you know if your one way bearing is slipping? Thanks.

You can tell if its slipping with the EZ start if when you press the start button, the starter motor turns like a banshee, but the engine never fires. With the pull start, you can tell by feel. Like a lawn mower engine, there should be resistance when you pull it.

Thanks! So, slipping causes the motor to turn at full speed. Has anyone heard a 'crackling' sound when cranking their engine?? It still cranks and starts, but the sound is different.

Your motor is going to go full speed no matter what, you just really do not hear the Engine trying to roll over, you may even notice that the engine doesn't prime well or even at all. Yea, that "crackling" sound is your one way probably slipping.
