Even though this isn't exactly in the right forum, the pro ball diff doesn't make your vehicle go any faster, but it will make you go around the track quicker in most situations. The pro ball diff is easily tunable so that you can adjust it to track or play conditions. If you want your vehicle to do doughnuts and burnouts in dirt, then all you have to do is tighten the diff and it acts almost like a spool. This also means that you will have better hill climbing capabilities because both back wheels will turn when you are stuck. Warning: don't over tighten the diff or you WILL break it and have to rebuild it. You can loosen it for racing conditions where you need smooth diffing around the corners. A standard diff can also be adjusted, but this involves removing it and adding different weights of diff grease. The pro ball diff is adjusted by slipping and allen wrench into a hole and turning the left back wheel.

Does the pro ball diff come with the aluminum output shafts, or regular output shafts, or do the output shafts have to be purchased seprately

Yeah you're right, we have to be careful
not to over tighten it...
i broke it, in fact i had difficulties adjusting it, i did not find the right adjustment.. Either too loose or to tight (when it break).
Now it rest in 'pieces' in one of my box..

The outputs on the Proball are steele. If you are refering to the Yokes for the "U" joints. You may use the stock plastic peices. Or go with the steele up grade units.
If you get MIP CVDs then the yokes will come with the kit. I always use MIP Shiny CVDs and the yokes on them are steele.

PS: NO the Pro ball diffs DO NOT make a truck faster.
What they do is give you more adjustablity than just the slipper clutch.
They also offer better traction and control.

Give me the straight scoop, are the CVD's worth it? Lot's say they've had probs with them.
