pull start

i am thinking of getting a pull start for my tec. i've gotten so angry with the ez-start. the connectors, one way bearing, the battery.:mad: i wanna no if the pull start is worth getting 1 and replacing the ez-start. i wanna get it and stuff but i wanna no is it as annoying as the ez-start:confused: thanx for replying

Sounds like a pull start would be good for you. They are lighter, and you only have to carry around a glow plug ignightor. The only time they can be a hassel is, it the oneway starts to slip, or if you pull the cord out (easy to avoid, don't pull it all the way out).

i thought the same thing keep your ez start and get a twist on glow plug lock from dynamite and this thing even eliminates the need to warm the glow plug and crimp your wires a bit so they will stay on the motor leads:)

I bought a pull start last week and I had nothing but problems with it. When I took it out the bag I pulled it and everything flew out. It took me a few hours to put it back together but I got it. It worked fine for 2 days but then it broke. If you go to www.traxxas.com they will show you haw to fix the pull start if it brakes.

I have used my ez-start for around 5 months without any prolems but decided to use a pull start because it was more convenient to just carry the glow igniter instead of that big ez-start battery pack. The only thing I don't like about the pull starter is when the one way bearing slips like what fanman said.

I had that with a pull start, straight out the bag, and BANG! all over my lap.

Took it back, got it home, was very carefu getting it out, and it works fine. And lighter, as someone's already mentioned.
