I have a T-Maxx and I love it. Do the boats come anywhere close to comparing with the other great Traxxas products? What does one of these cost and how hard are they to maintain? What is so hard about the break in?

The boats are a lot of fun, but they are run in a completely different invironment. Don't expect to catch major air with your Nitro Vee. It just wont happen. Here's a little info on the Vee. The Nitro Vee is our Skill Level 3 nitro-powered boat. It is the first boat to feature the speed, sound and continuous run time of a high-performance nitro boat, with the reliability and ease-of-use of an electric. It features an in-line clutch system, which allows it to stop still in the water while the engine is running, and then accelerate to breakneck speed. The Nitro Vee also gives you peace of mind with the patented RTS (return-to-shore) emergency power system. If you run out of fuel in the middle of the pond, a small electric motor engages the main propeller to power the boat back to you. The Nitro Vee is also equipped with the Pro .15 engine and EZ-Start system which will get you started with the push of a button. It is also fully-assembled and ready for action. You can purchase the boat with or without a radio system installed. The Nitro Vee, running 15% Omega fuel on calm water will run at about 22MPH with a fully broken-in engine. A full tank of fuel in the Nitro Vee will last approximately 20 minutes. The following items need to be purchased separately at your local hobby shop for use with your boat:
· 1. Omega 15% Nitromethane airplane fuel.
· 2. Fuel dispensing bottle or fuel bulb
· 3. "AA" batteries (8 for the transmitter, 6 for the receiver)
· 4. Spare glow plugs (Only use Traxxas glow plugs, Part #3230 in the TRX engines)
· 5. Small flat blade screwdriver for making engine adjustments
· 6. 5/16 nut driver for changing glow plugs
· 7. Nitro Vee requires a 7.2V battery pack and charger (for the EZ-Start)
Other Accessories you'll need down the road include:
· 1. Traxxas Nitro Wash for clean up
· 2. After run oil for storage
Traxxas does not sell its products direct; they are available from hobby shops around the world. While we can not give you a specific selling price as each retailer sets his own price we can give you an average "street price” in US hobby shops. You can find a list of average "sale" prices on all of our models on our website at <http//www.traxxas.com/pages98/prices.htm>.
