i am looking to get my wife a street car so she can run at the local track with us. i like the 4-tec,but i was thinking about this street sport. is it a good truck for overall fun. and also, what is it's top speed. i have heard that the 4-tec is 25 to 30mph.

I don't own the Street Sport but i have heard that they have a big problem handling...
They spin out alot... But other than that it is supposedly an excellent car... Just slap on som Ofna slicks that should help....

Hehehe...I'm the one with the OFNA slicks. They are very sticky and the car never spins out any more. If you want more glamor and glitz, just put some wheel hexes on the front and swap a few parts on the front end. You'll be able to use normal TC wheels. Another reason the stock SS spins out is because the stance is so narrow. I think it's 178 mm, whereas a normal TC is 190 mm or so.

Since you probably don't want to mess with the car to get it running well, I'd suggest going with the 4tec. Yes, It costs more, but it also handles better because it's 4wd and a normal width.
