well, I've only been running mine a month and I doubt if there is a better entry level RTR truck made. Plus there are a lot of ways to to make it even better as you progress.

I don't really like my sport. I have found that compared to other trucks from other manufacturers, the vehicles from traxxas are much more complicated. Having two chassis can be a pain. When you want to take one thing out, first you must remove 5 other things. Trucks such as the rc10gt and Losi's xxxnmt sport are simpler, more reliable, and in most cases, faster.:D

I've experienced the best of both starting truck worlds..... I'm told the T-Maxx is an awesome truck but I also hear its not best for beginners so for 4wheel drive startinmg truck I chose HPI's NMT the best starter truck. and for ll you 2 Wheel drive nuts out there out of alot of experience I would have to agree the Traxxas Nitro Sport is the best starter truck you could get. I have experienced the ups and downs of both trucks and only problems I hear about is the engine doesn't last longer than a year....... the problem I noticed about the sport is what almost drove me into getting a rustler, the steering isn't bellcrank on the sport, I considder bellcrank the best thing to go with if you don't want stripped servos gear sets. but this is just me some people who started with T-Maxx said it good starter truckk but until I try it I can't tell you jack about it.
eternally,

strictly 2wd race truck not good for thrashing.

why wouldn't it be good for thrashing? When racing, a truck is getting the same, if not more "thrashing" isn't it?

thrashing is not racing, racing is a specifically setup track ment for what they are doing, thrashing is like constant running at near full throttle doing hi speed manuevers, attempting to jump over cars and land on flat pavement not destroyed, going through heavy/tall grass, running half speed into curbs, thrashing is basically doing things to destroy your truck without the destroying, or something like that, backyard bashing is basically the same. RC10GT not nearly as good at these things just stick with sport or get a rustler or even a pede

why would you want to try to destroy a $300 truck?? I'm all for having fun with r/c trucks, but what is so appealing about trying to break stuff. At the very least, every time i go out to use it, i want to try to become a better driver. Why do you think they call them STADIUM trucks?

the fun of having a truck is going over big ramps and getting the good feeling when u land perfect. . . . that is why the sport is good because it can handle some of the bad landings like some i have had:p
its unbelieve able how many flips and cart wheels my sport has gone though and not broken!

mabye spartan said it better but you don't want to destroy it, thrashers like the feeling of doing a move that would destroy trucks but then somehow not destroying it, or in other words jump an entire 2 lane street and land on other side without destroying car....... so you see its the feeling of extremeties without destroying it, or in other words sky diving with an R/C style

I think Schamsy needs to consult O.S. and see if he can be there public relations director because he would be perfect for the job, he never stops talking about how much better he thinks it is than the pro .15
