A dry semi-stiff paintbrush, probably get yourself a few sizes from 1/2 - 1 1/2 inches.

Traxxas nitro wash (do not get in on the receiver or ESC). Either take these off or cover them when cleaning.

A rag.

An Isoprop. Alcohol based cleaner (Computer cleaner) works for me to get all the grit out of the diff etc. when overhauling. Make sure you lube these parts GOOD when done, though. Also these "cleaning lubricants" like Wynns no 5, CRC, or Q-20 work for mild cleaning and lubes too! To really deep clean, I soak in a citrus degreaser, but that's only once in a while, as you've got to strip the parts to avoid contact with electrics etc...

Oh, and if you don't want to spend your life cleaning the car, go easy on the lube, and brush it off after EVERY run, like RC BDUB says...

Hey Pooycow ( and what the heck does that stand for) If your using wd-40, which does leave a residue to help more dirt or tire debre to stick to, why not try bike chain lubricant(sorry off the top of head I can remember the ingrediant)it has an additive to not let dirt stick to it. I used when I used to ride my road bike heavily and it worked great.

even though dust does stick to the WD-40 it is easyer to wipe the dust off, instead of caking your car in WD-40 use the WD-40 more as a polish, eg spray it onto a rag and clean you car with it, then rub it iff afterwards!

A toothbrush!! It works great. I have a baby size and adult size. I never liked wd 40 that much. It is the worst lubricant for a bicycle chain, contrary to popular belief. It's too greasy and it stinks. And it contains petroleum distilates. Armor All is the ****!! I spray that on 50% of my real car and on every plastic piece on the 4 tec. It saves your plastic from the elements.
