Bumper.

I keep breaking my bumper i barely hit a curb while racing my brother around the parking lot and it broke off.Is there a better bumper to use that can handle atleast a bump.Thanks

Are you using just the plastic bumper or do you have the foam bumper on top of it. If you don't have the foam bumper - GET ONE!

The stock bumper is the same one used on the N4-Tec and will withstand 50mph collisions. I have not had any problems with mine and I've nailed trees doing ~40mph. I do have the foam though.

How are you just hitting a curb with it and it falling off have we been tampering with it some how????? get FOAM

i had the same problem when i started racing a few years ago, the thing is, i got the 4-tec when it first came out and the bumper is very weak on the old 4-tecs, (i think you may have an old 4-tec) if so you should buy the new one that traxxas has made and now puts on all the new 4-tecs, this new bumper is lighter and a bit more flexable, and also has an extra 'lip' that slots into the gear box (instead of just beeing flat with two holes for the screws)

I did have foam on it plus it was a new bumper i just bought it from my hobby shop i barely clipped the curb going around an island i was running around and it broke right where the screws go through.and the n4tec bumper is different on the pics of Traxxas gallery from the elc 4 tec.I guess i might of got a faulty bumper i will just see if my lhs will replace it.Thanks

I think maybe he's talking about the Powerline lower front suspension mount - the bumper hooks over it. I don't know if it would help stop the bumper from breaking - although I'm still not sure WHY yours is breaking.

has your bumper got a triangular hole in the middle of it, or is it just solid? the one without a hole it the old bumper that breaks easly and the one with the hole in it is the new improoved one!

the new one with the hole in it has an extra lip on it to clip into the lower wishbone mount!

get the new one if you have the old one!

I just found out my hobby shop is still selling the old ones so im taking it back and going to see if they have the new one.Thanks
