Hey there, Im would like some info about wich one I should choose. I now the ob4 came in first in the rtr nitro touring car shoot out in the new touring car issue but I dont really trust thoughs results, I mean the durajunk came in second. But I like the ofna because it comes with an extra set of tires and sway bars and a lot of other cool stuff, the only problem is that my lhs does not carry ofna part and he actually does not like ofna at all. I like the 4-tec to but it does not come with all the features like the other one byt my lhs like traxxas(and so do I)
So guys what should I do.
Thanks

go with the 4tec. the thing with the rtr is that allows youo to add those other parts pretty cheaply. Sway bar set is only about 4.50. Parts are cheap to replace and pretty much readily available. And comes with a strong motor and the easy start is a breeze. ppl tell me i should take off my ez start to save weight. but i still spank mugens on a daily basis. im not kidding. this was the best thing i could do. the only thing i dont like is the fact that it doesnt have a handle on the car to pick it up with. ill just make my own.

a nice thing is the weight of the car. the weight transfer of this car is incredible and makes it easy to setup for different track styles.

pick the tec you wont be sorry.

Good luck

Well asking this question in the Traxxas forum is gonna get really biased opinions. YOu are the only one that can make the descision on which is better, bc everyone is going to say 4-tec, duh.

i also have 2 hpi's they handle terrible compared to the traxxas. I race the traxxas and play with the hpi's not biased just the truth. but yes you are right you most likely to get that answer.

Yeah..I agree with rrsaylor...the 4-tec bits are pretty inexpensive. The service from Traxxas is excellent here in Ireland/UK with most parts here within a day when ordered.
You probably will get a biased opinion in this group towards the Traxxas but I agree.....stick with a 4-tec.

Ofna OB-4 all the way. I've seen them destroy a 4-tec in handleing and speed. My friends OB-4 blows my 4-tec away and we are running the same engine, pipe, and tires. I'm gonna get rid of my 4-tec and get an OB-4 as soon as I can.

im sorry traxxas but man you should go with the ob4. ive seen one of these and they are great. they are faster off the line and better top end speed than the 4tec and they handle a heck of a lot better and they come with a bunch of extra stuff like gears and they are already hopped up enough to seriously race with them and win. also, you can easily order parts for them over the internet or magazines just as fast as your lhs can order parts for the 4tec. the ob4 also looks cooler.

peace
