I am debating on getting one....Stock is really 65mph? is that on 20% nitro or is everyone running the 33%? I'm tossed between Jato or Titan boat.

YES! Owning a jato (or 2 or 3) is alot of fun, ecspecially if you have someone to run with. 65+ outta the box is streching it just a bit in my opion. I have made speed runs on multiple box stock jato's with a gps onboard. At my elevation, 57-59 mph is about all they will do with a good tune and 30%. They respond very well to the right bolt on's though. The jato is much more action packed than any rc boat in my opinion.:)

I had my Jato for 3 weeks now and its even fast on 20% nitro, you will like it.

Just remember when your boat dies you will have to figure out how to get it when it is out in the middle of the lake!

Yeah, but if your jato gets out of range at high speed your going to have to figure out where all the pieces of it went

But at least when my Jato flips over I can just go flip it back. i have seen so many boats barrel roll and end upside down and and they just stand there till they figure out who is going to go get wet.

Yea me too. I think it would be neat to have a boat like the Titan but It would be more a shelf queen as long as I had all my on road vehicles and never get played with.

It was with stock bell tooth count, stock its a 52 tooth too, but made of plastic, i specified its robinson racing because it added weight a little...
With the plastic on it may add a mph.

Ok, i did an error, it was a 53t , i bought it with the jato , it was used. But it was robinson racing.
In my first vid in description i said 52, and in my 2nd vid i said 53t, but its 53t.
Its been a while and i done so many setup i didnt remembered everything at that moment.

The manual lists 54 as the smallest for jato, but traxxas makes spur gears with that pitch smaller than that, I have a plastic 52 and a 50 that are traxxas and fit my jato just fine.
