Well, i added 90wt. oil, sway bars, road rage tires. And it still handles like a joke, well it not that bad i guess if you scale it up, a real car would be doing about 5,000 MPH, and lets face it, can you get a full size car to turn doing 5,000 MPH?

Its probably your spring setup. Try 80wt in the rear with soft springs, and keep your 90 wt oil in the front with stiff springs. Remember, the harder the shocks are, the less traction, and the softer they are, the more traction, but more body roll. But always keep your rear shocks softer!

I disagree with Rick boy above, keep the softer weight springs and oil up front and keep stiffer springs and heavier weight oil out back.
I do agree with running the sway bars, but after my testing, I would only run them in the front and in the hole just behind the most forward position.
Also, try moving the shocks lower mounting hole to the innermost positions on the A-arms in the front if they are not already there, this will allow the front end to "float" a little better in high speed turns.
All of this assumes you're racing on asphalt with tires that have medium to hard inserts.

Another thing that sounds odd but true. If you want better handling you could add more weight. It will rob you of acceleration but you will handle better believe it or not.

NO I dont think so. If you run stiffer springs in the rear and sift springs in the front, do know whats going to happen? Keep in mind, the stiffer they are the less traction. So if you have his setup, when you go to turn your rear wheels WILL slide out, causing the car to go sideways. And run sway bars on at least in the front!
And about the adding weight thing. You you are daring to do this, make sure you add the weight as close to the ground as possible for a lower CG!!! Also make is close to the rear, so you have not as bad accel.
Also, if you run a tight track, I like the castor wedges. Of course, this is just me, you may not like them, but at their cheap price, at least give them a shot!

tekin, what EXACTLY is happening? is the rear end loose at high speed? steering loose? cornering a prob? what? also, at 50mph, the scale speed would be 500mph. Thats still pretty fast. I love it!!!

"Ok here's the setup I use on one of my 4-tecs.
Front
80wt
2 hole pistons
stock springs
Lower shock position outer hole
camber -1 degrees
toe 1 degree in
swaybar position 2
Rear
80wt
3-hole piston
stock springs
lower shock position outer hole
camber -1.5 degrees
toe stock 1.5 degrees in
Swaybar position 2
I'm running HPI's X-Pattern belted pro compound tires. I bought a kimbrough servo saver for less stearing slop (I bought a large one by a mistake, and had to trim it a little to clear the upper deck. The medium one would have been better for the application). I also changed the bellcrank bushings with bearings from HPI. You'll need 4 if you want to do this mod."
Also if you are running on a dusty unprepared surface, then try running 60wt oil instead.

RC Rick, I agree with you set up on having the stiffer springs up front and softer springs in rear. This setup gave my Nitro Sport more traction and kept the rear wheels on the ground. The question I have, how well does this work on 4WD vehicles, and would having the same setup on the shocks on both front and back would be ideal? I would think since all 4 wheels are actually pushing the car, that would be the maximum traction you could get for a vehicle. Could you shed some light on this? Thanks.

Go for 60 wt. oil.. the thicker stuff doesn't work too well i think.. Also, go for -1 Camber all the way around, kill the toe in the front wheels, and move the caster clips to the front. Also, move the shocks to the outer position on the A-arms to lower the ride height a little.

ya, i am using HPI super radials...good tires still not traction
