I am getting geared up to put some lights on my Slash. I'd love to see how you guys did yours and get some tips and ideas.

Please post pics and show off your Slash in lights!

I use the fan port on the velineon.

I bought the female side of the plug from the LHS, and soldered the LED's in.

RPM light buckets with diffused white LEDs. Two have the clear plastic on them still, two don't. Also shows off the blueish/purple effect of the paint nicely.

Rear RPM light buckets. Duo LEDs are medium bright until braking, then turn to full brightness, and turn white when driving in reverse.
Don't mind the ragged edge of the body, it's due to the drywall tape and shoe goo.

I did a thread on mine. It's easily removable but be warned that if you race, unless you CA the nut on, they'll come off. I tried racing with them in once and it didn't work out that well. The lights come off through the back when you pull out the rubber along with the 9V battery.

You can get a light kit off ebay for ~10 USD. Search for "RC Car 2.0 LED Flashing Light System". Then you need duo LEDs in red/white, with shared anode (+). Then you connect the anode (center pin) to the + line (red, I believe) of the light control box, and the red and white kathode pins to the respective wires. That way you get both colors in one LED.
