I have been racing for 9 years now, and hopefully many many more! I have the Nitro 4-TEC PRO with all hop ups. I have all of the Powerline aluminum parts so make my car super light and durable, MIP racing clutch, and Shiny CVDs. I have 5 sets of tires or more at all times too. I use a Nova CX12 engine that rocks.
My funniest story:
I had first gotten my car, broke in my Nova and was was racing the next day. When race day came, i was ready and all, but when i had two laps to go and 3 lap lead, i accidentally taged a corner and knocked of my front left wheel. I had three wheels and was goin really slow as my lead decreased to 1 lap to go and 1 lap lead. Anyway, i was on the last corner before the straight-away and the finish. Well, I tagged another corner really hard and knocked off my other front wheel! The marshall didnt know what to do so he pointed me toward the finish. So i had no choice but to push my way to the finish. So i floored the gas, and my super sticky tires combined with my powerful Nova pulled a wheely through the finish line with the 2nd place guy right behind me!
I dont know how i did it, but i was never able to do it again...
Here are soime pics of my new body with my PRO under it:

It's nice to have a message board dedicated to traxxas vehicles now. I have a Nitro 4-Tec Pro. I've been in the rc hobby for about 15 years and this is my first nitro powered car. At the moment it has a TRX-15 pro, but I'll be adding a Nova Rossi turbo before the snow thaws. I have added some stuff from powerline, MIP shiny CVD's, and Losi threaded shocks and tires.
I really like the way the car drives. With the present engine I was getting smoked down a 150' straight against Nova Rossi's, but I was out handling the other cars in the technical sections of the track. I can't wait until I add the horsepower.

I am a mechanical engineer, and I modified my Nova to get about 1.25hp, and it keeps the same fuel effieciecy. I have a masters from Rolla University in Missouri. If you like to work on engines, go for mechanical engineering! Its the best job, and tons of pay. I am going to the next nationals too!

Where did you get the MIP shiny CVD's? They seem to be backordered everywhere! And do you have a part number for the Losi shocks (if you like them of course)?
Thanks,
DK.

I got the CVD's from my LHS a while ago. As far as the shocks. I had to buy the threaded bodies seperately. I had extra parts from my Weapon to build the shocks. Last I knew, Losi sold the bodies seperately, not as a complete shock kit. You'll have to check Losi's website for the part #'s.

I'm having the same problems with getting the MIP CVD's. I've never tried the Losi shocks, but I use HPI Threaded Aluminum Shocks. They totally rock. I think about $35-$40 a pair. Lots of adjustments and very sturdy. The stock plastic shocks from Traxxas were basically leaking right out of the box!

i got my mip cvds from rlhobbies.com, you'll probly pay more for them there because their prices are high. also make sure you order 2 kits for the f/r. i just ordered one thinking it came with 4 cvds and it didnt.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a good track in CT. My older brother has the N. 4-TEC and I have and HPI RS4 but we don't have a track to go to. We only meet people at our local high school to drive around. Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!

I believe RC Madness is in Enfield CT and it is supposed to be one of the best in the whole country. I kind of surprised you haven't heard about it.
Have fun,
DK.
