I'm debating using a novak 6.5 HV system in my summit and have no problem putting the esc into a watertight container (crawling only so heat shouldn't be a big deal) Just wondering about the sensored motor--how does it stand up to the occasional dunking? Is there any way to get the bloody thing apart to waterproof that sensor ring? Do I need to?

I have some tape "rubber-like" to seal both motor wires and the sensor cable.
Then I always use the showercap even at dry conditions keeps off gravel and dust!

So I stripped the motor down, desoldered the windings from the end bell and opened up to expose the sensor ring. Then I coated the ring with some liquid electrical tape then put it all back together and liquid electrical taped the end motor leads--Should be good and waterproof now--or good enough at least for the occasional dunking.
