I've seen a lot of people asking about this in the forum and wanted to add my 2 cents.
Don't add a T.R.S. if you have traxxas stock servos. They do not have enough torque to support the tension of a spring. Your batteries will wear out very quickly causing your car to go out of control more often.
Get a hi-torque servo if you wish to do this.

I agree, when I got my TEC PRO, I just bought a transmitter/reciever, but no servos. Picking your own servos is important. Here are my servos:
CH1: Good priced, Hobbico 110oz/in. torque, metal gear servo. This servo doesn't wine, it growls!
CH2: Also a good priced servo with 60oz/in. torque, resin gears(no need for metal), and moves the TRS with ease.
BATT: I use a 6v nmh pack. I have a few spares for long races.

I have a TRS on mine with the stock servo and my batteries still last the same amount of time! I use 4 rechargable metal hydride "AA" batteries!! Is that ok for it? or will it hurt over time? If I were to upgrade my throttle servo, what would be recommended and how much that cost?
