Works Great. Pre heat oven 450 F. Put in oven for 15 - 20 min. Stand up or lay them down I have done both. Take out with work gloves & pull the tires off. Take small flat screw driver to help & to get any extra glue off.
Be ready for the stink, I do mine @ work.

Low voltage cut off this is by far the best and easiest way to set it and also to set so many other things...

First off maxamps charges too much for everything plus I would easily get This (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXYWV0&P=ML) card over that card just because it does the same thing AND allows you to program without a computer at a cheaper price.

If I seemed rude, I apologize. I didn't want a fellow traxxas owner to get ripped off and I'm sure you would agree the field programmer is a better option.

Honestly, I never used the field programmer. I use the Castle Link

so this is a better links.

Castle Link USB Programming Kit from Stormer $ 20 ??. Go to Castel web to down load the program. CC up dates the program from time to time. So just go back & up date. For setting just set it how you want it. Everyone runs diff settings. Very easy to use program.

wow, why even post? absolutely no help nor info you might as well not say anything.

as far as answering the original poster's questions,

you can either bake the tires or use acetone to get the tires off the rims.
i would go with baking since it will be a lot quicker and the foams inside could be damaged with acetone.

for setting the lvc, i use the 26 dollar fieldlink to connect the ESC to the computer and adjust the settings using the program downloaded from castle creation's website.

you could also boil your tires but then your foams will get out of shape.
