Both of my driver side wheels are wobbly.
I've been seriously abusing this little truck... I can't help it, it want's me to
It's funny though, I'm really careful with my Rustler VXL...
Anyway, I know I need to upgrade a few parts and I plane on hitting the LHS this Sat. Any ideas on what part/parts is causing this?
Thanks!

You could have bent the wheel itself, or you might have tweaked the axle carrier. The stock pieces that tie the wheels and suspension together have a decent amount of slop, which pronounces your problem.

Don't forger stock hollowballs wear out quickly, change to steel. Also suggest HR knuckles and I like, but others do not, metal push rods and tie bars also steel cvds just for good measure, apart from being strong, stop all the crud jamming around the driveshafts (cos they are thinner), oh and rpm arms (virtually unbreakable) If your wheels are true these mods make a great difference in driveablility - HTH - BB

It's just strange that it's both driver side wheels.
Maybe I landed really hard and bent something on both axles.

probably axle carrier. mine just went.
I'd rather have the carrier fail then have the force transferred up to some major components.
probably axle carrier...
i'll +1 this the plastic carriers wear VERY quickly and become a slop nightmare.

I was just looking at the HR axle carriers (steering knuckles). I have Traxxas aluminum ones on my Rustler and never had this sort of problem.
They're a bit more money then I thought they'd be though.
if they're in stock think about grabbing them. almost everyone who has them agrees they're a worthy upgrade.

what would be next in line to break?
control arm or diff case?

I just tried to buy them from ebay and was denied!
I was going to get the HR wheelie bar and adjustable rocker arms too...
Well, Bizarre Hobbies just lost a sale.
I guess I need to set up a paypal account :o

Got mine from bizzar hobbies, delivered very quickly and one of the vest purchases so far......until I fitted the rpm arms OMG this thing goes like it is on rails now - never ever thought anything could Change the feel of a truck so much. 1st recommendation is the HR knuckles for thier strength and I've now broken two stock ones and I've only had the truck three weeks. Stress, as far as I've found, must go into the suspension arms, hence why I kept mine plastic. Bulkheads don't seem to have suffered any I'll effects......yet - just found a quarry open to the public so big bashing here we come lol
Have you checked your tire glue? I flipped on 4s and hit full throttle a few blips trying to right side it. It flipped back over but on the pass back I noticed both rightside wobble. The left tires hit the ground at wot and right side ripped the glue. I thought of all the above stated. But I've got my own ghetto durability mods.

control arms gave better handling? are they extended?

I was thinking tire glue too if it's both wheels on one side. If the tires are loose from the rim only at certain spots it will give the illusion that the wheel is wobbling. This is what happened to me. Don't overlook the simple stuff. I mean it's similar to a real car. You wouldn't start immediately tearing apart the engine without checking the battery, spark plugs, and other simple stuff first.
@Matrix - I know you weren't asking me, but the rpm a arms fit better and reduce slop significantly. Any reduction of slop will help handling.

could be right about the tire glue, they have broken loose. I'll have to take a closser look and see if the rims are wobbly or just the tires

I have had the loose glue wobble too.
Try rotating wheels with one that runs true.

The wheels probably need to be balanced. On some of my 2WD trucks, just spinning the wheel by hand can make the suspension shudder. There are plenty of how-to's on YouTube.
