I have been waiting for parts for my 4-tec for about a month now. I have been told by my LHS that he has been having a real hard time getting parts from Traxxas. I checked online, and there wasn't a site that had the available parts that I needed. Any update on what the problem is, and how long I will have to wait to get my screamer(my 4-tec that is) on the road?

Yes, the graphite parts particularly have been backed up for a long time, Traxxas says they should be available by racing season http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/smile.gif

If your LHS is out they or you can usually order the parts you need directly from Traxxas. So you can be up and running. If You are looking at hop-up parts they have been in huge demand and are not a must have to drive your car. Most of the stock parts are out there.

Yeah they usually order direct so it should not take that long, maybe a week

I got my 4tec back in August. I've been trying to get the blue tuned pipe, all the graphite, and a bunch of aluminum Powerline parts. My LHS kept having problems getting the parts. I then ordered through Tower Hobbies and have had the stuff on back order since november. I guess I'll keep waiting...

So i'll just say it since everyone seems to be thinking it...

HEY TRAXXAS! If 3rd party suppliers aren't a reliable source of aluminum/graphite/titanium hop-up accessories for the 4-Tec, will you make them for us?

Thanks,
DK.

Remember-- you can always cut out the middle man and buy parts DIRECT from Traxxas. Just cal lthe customer support # in your manual. IIRC, they stil lmake parts for any vehicle they ever made.....

now if I can just find someone that has a Traxxas Fiero car......

I highly sugget the Associated RC10GT pipe for use with the 4-Tec. With slight application of a xdrill bit, you can even use the stock mounting position and wire for it....

I did call Traxxas direct and they were able to help me with just about everything. There were a few items that went on backorder though. The clutch bearing kit was unavailable,$8 through traxxas, Boca wants 7.95 a piece. Seems steep to me.

burnt-kat: Tell me more about the Associated pipe. I checked it out tonight at my LHS but I didn't see how I could mount it nicely on my 4tec. How did you mount yours? What did you use for a header? How does it sound/perform? Thanks!

Dude just get a CVEC pipe, it's better than the traxxas anyway and is available everywhere.
