Ok guys I need some help… I am doing an Evaluation paper for my College English Class. And I figured why not evaluate Traxxas. So that’s what I am doing. I am still in the process of figuring out how I want to evaluate it. Here are some of the ways I am looking at.<_<
1. If someone wanted to get into R/C’s why they should go to Traxxas, and not one of the other opinions.
2. A positive and negative point of view of traxxas Brand and still compare Traxxas Vs. Other models.
This is what I am looking at and I cannot use my own views, has to be other people’s views ( I personally have had an A+ experience with Traxxas:D ) So I need some of your guys input, what are some of the Traxxas Positives. I have not found too many negatives to Traxxas. If you think of any PM me, I don’t want negative things about traxxas on their Form nor do they probably. But put all the positives you can think of, I am also using other sources too, not just the traxxas form.
Thanks

I would have to say that TRX has good c.s., and the RTRs have good standard equipment to begain with. Compared to HPI, I like the servos and remote TRX has. TRX also is making alot of models run 2.4 remotes, which is the future of rc. Traxxas' models are also waterproof, and everymodel (mostly the 2wd) has a electric and nitro version, and has a starter (XL5) and a novice (VXL).

1.) Traxxas RC models come ready to run with everything you need. Tools, batteries, chargers, except for fuel which many people prefer different brands. Nearly half all nof ther elctric models are waterproof, ready for all weather. Traxxas has A++ customer support to back their products which encourages many peple to buy from them again. Every veichles has the agility ot be raced but the toughness to survive bumps and crashes.
2.) i can't answer this because i willl never have anything negative to say about traxxas.

broken summit

My only negative is i had my Summit for maybe two weeks i was running on some flat land with a chocolate lab in chase i rolled the truck three times and no the dog didn't attack my Summit he just liked to chase it then when i stopped it he would stop and look at it, after the third roll the half shaft broke i was advised by members of this forum to contact C.S. for some new ones i was told i am out of luck but gave me a link to buy some from them so their customer service gets a 5 out of 10 because they did help me with my ESC problem on my Summit thats my only two experiences with C.S.
something else that bothers me, you spend a fairly descent amount of money on a brand new r/c and right out of the box you have to take it apart to fix shimming issues, dry differentials, dead electronics, or fairly new electronics fail and it's passed off as it happens just fix it

I didn't know customer support was obligated to pass out free parts due to crash damage.

Some positives about Traxxas. 1. Their vehicles ar Ready To Run. 2. Parts a readily available. 3. Great customer service both times I had to contact them they were great at getting my issue resloved, fast and professional. 4. Their electric models are good for any age my youngest son has and drives one he is 6 years old. 5. Easy to work on if something breaks. 6. The forum that they have for us has a wealth of information on it pertaining to Traxxas vehicles. 7. Their ESC are programmable to slow it down for a beginner and speed it up for an established racer.

Gee, nobody mentioned that Traxxas provides this board with its dozens of forums at its own expense. This excellent resource should not be taken for granted.

Here is another way to look at Traxxas, it is not a publicly traded company, so it has never had to scrable for cash and is not subject the to whims of Wall Street. Also, it is common for 1:1 automakers like Ford to sponsor motorsports, but but when a RC company has the clout to sponsor multiple types of motorsports, that is another good sign of the company's stability.
