I always do backflips with my small e-revo and often enough it lands on it's roof, after a lot of this the antena eventualy snaped, I need a way to fix this and make sure it dosn't happen again, thanx
I used fuel tubing and cut a bigger hole in my top. Just about 4" will prevent that from happening thought of it after my second ant

exactly, the fuel tube trick works wonders. heres a couple pics of my antenna tube on my MERV.

leave a small gap in the tube itself right around the body line.
and it is super flexible. i have never had an issue with a frayed or cut antenna wire either this way.

Cameron how are those pushrods and links holding up? I was about to pick some up but just replaces plasic hollow balls with metal. I'm cheap at times

held up great, one of my front pushrods bent when i nailed a telepost in the basement but other than that they have been good. swapped back to the stock plastic ones on the front for now.
/hijack lol
Right on and sorry rc joe didn't mean to hijack at all. But the fuel tubing works wonders! You could even cut a spin kinda and wrap wires with it. I also slice it and fit it on my other rc bumpers

haha no a telepost. one of those floor support posts, about 4" round steel adjustable tubes that apparently are an RC magnet.

that apparently are an RC magnet.
lol, When I lived in a neighborhood I felt this way about curbs
I don't quite understand the antenna setup, are you guys just using fuel tubing on top of a 2 piece stock antenna? Anyone wanna whip something up in paint and post it?

yeah it is just 2 pieces of antenna tube inside the fuel line. you leave a small 1/2" gap right at the body line or just above it, and that leave it wicked flexible and quite protected.

I replace my whole radio system with the Tower 2.4 system. It is cheap, only uses 4 batteries, 2.4ghz, failsafe, adjustable steering rate, and best of all No antenna!!

yeah i run a spektrum on all my rigs so its rare to see an antenna outside the shell on my dirt runners. I usually do the antenna mod and then just leave it bent in there under the shell.
**** you all! I'd be picking up either Traxxas or tactic 2.4 but my charger just fried it's transformer and I'm not trying to buy the part from radioshack for the price it was. Nonsupertramp :(

I switched back to stock TX/RX, after using a Tactic for two months. The car was no longer as fun to drive!
