Wish the Jato 3.3 had Reverse

I wish Traxxas added the reverse feature to this otherwise BEAST of a nitro. This thing gets moving like no other but once I had it pointing towards a curb there was no backing up so i had to take the walk and pull it out, guess the walk didnt hurt lol. do they make trans kits that would allow reverse?

Nope, there is no trans kit without replacing the entire tranny which would just be dumb. you'd have to sacrifice your second gear and destroy your high-end speeds.

You'll get better at not getting in positions that you can't work your way out of as you get used to the speed and handling.

reverse is bad for ur tranny it puts enourmous stress on the gears its what causes most trannys to fail even in real cars

that's not true. there are nitro tranny's out there (even from Traxxas) that have reverse support. but it a) requires an extra channel on your receiver and b) doesn't allow for a 2nd gear in forward speed due to complexity

That is true, but not in the Jato tranny. The nitro revo has reverse and 2 speed.

Aha, didn't realize they were 2 speed as well. most i've seen with reverse (non-traxxas ones) do not have the second gear.

This would be my option but my brother wont let me convert it and he does kind of own it since I gave it to him. Still, he hardly ever uses it.
