View Full Version : Jato brake question

I used to have the brakes setup perfect. Then I replaced the stock throttle servo with a stock steering servo. When I apply the brake the linkage will engage the brake but will not return back properly. Thus no brakes. What is the proper way to setup the brakes. I just ordered new linkage thinking my old set is bent improperly or something. Any suggestions would help. Oh yeah I used to use the fuel tubing piece in place of the spring, but took it off thinking that would help.

I am watching for an answer also in case I ever have a brake issue. What is the thing all about? New guy, 100% stock. IMHO, DUAL brakes isn't the answer.

Can you take some pics of your linkage on your Jato?

put a throttle return spring on the break rod, put it right next to the throttle spring. and adjust it so it pulls just right. also get a small aul tube that fits over the break rod. cut it to .600 in this dim not critical , replace the spring that has the adjuster on it with the tube ajust it so it is just tight into the servo. this will give you breaks RIGHT NOW
