Ok, so I gave up on the search.
Looking for different tires/wheels for the slash. Some for loose dirt/sand bashing, and pin type for racing. As close to stock size as possible please. Thanks.

sorry to tell you but there simply aren't any...I gave up 2 weeks ago and just ordered another set of red beadlocks (original but different colour)...otherwise there are just too much work like play with off-set and trim body etc...experience told me that some other problem will also creep in later with other suspension component like stress the hub too much or bend suspension pins etc...
I don't know if there are any left out there but---Team Associated (TC3) and HPI (RS4) both made rally cars a few years ago. The 1/16th scale Slash 4x4 can use regular toring car tires with no modification so if someone can find some of these tires they might be closer to what you want for loose dirt than the stock 1/16th Slash tires. Good hunting.

I use the HPI Rally wheels and tires and they rock... anything 1/10 scale for HPI will work... the part number for the tires is 4470

That's what I was afraid of. I did find some touring car tires, but those are obviously street only. Never could understand the point of spending the extra money on a 4x4 and only using it on the street.
Anybody else out there keeping a secret?
Thanks.

Nope. I think I scrolled right past it. I need to get a new mouse. Don't like the touch pad on my laptop, and it's hard doing anything with my daughter trying to "help".
Those HPI tires do look nice though. How well have they been holding up?
Besides, I said touring tires. Nothing about the rally tires.

Thanks for the HPI tire info. There seems to be also the HPI 4471, same rally tire but SOFT compound. Any feeback on them?

Here's the tires.

Here's a link to a butt load of wheels.

I'm guessing these will fit. Didn't find any info on hex size, but I'm just hoping.
I'd really like to find a set of paddles. Maybe somebody will get the lead out and make some wheels and tires for the 1/16 slash and revo. It would be nice to have a selection that are stock size that don't require mods to make them fit.

From info on towerhobbies.com it looks like hpi touring car wheels use a 12mm hex. Wheel widths and diameters vary considerably so that is where you have to watch out.

Thanks. Pretty sure the link I posted have the widths posted on all of the wheels. At least the styles I was interested in. My slash should be here tomorrow. Really looking forward to playing with it, getting it dialed in for my bashing areas down here. In a couple months I get transferred. Hopefully I'll be able to find a track nearby and get some play time on it.

The HPI wheels that will mate the tires... absolutely mate perfectly... I have them on my MX truck right now...

Let me clarify that... the 4470 tires will fit fine on ANY HPI 26mm rim... and as far as I know all the HPI touring rims will have 12mm hex... the one thing that the 4470s dont come with is tire foam... people I talked to about it locally said they just dont use it... I opted to buy the foam kit for mine since most of our track jumps are more geared towards 1/10 trucks and the added actual cushion I am feeling may aid to overall stability...

HPI does use a 12mm hex on their 23mm rims (Street Tires). The problem is finding a tire that is close to the stock size of the Slash tire. I think the Slash tire is 1.8, where the Revo use's a 2.2, but don't hold me to that. I have done a HPI Brahma with Proline Inside Jobs before I converted my Slash to Revo. The problem was the HPI Wheels are to a 1/10th scale. It was prone to roll over. Then I went to the Revo A-arms and drive shafts, but you have to cut up the Slash Body for these wheels to clear. My next thought is making my REVO into a Truggy. Since I have a few extra Slash Bodies that are just sitting around doing nothing, but collecting dust.

since the stock rims look like beadlocks, i wonder if they make beadlock rims the same size as the stock rims.
I'd personally avoid soft compound tyres, the tread tends to get worn fast on abrasive surfaces (asphalt, loose dirt, etc) to the point they become bald and slick. but that's just from my experience of other soft compound tyres.

the tires we are discussing are almost the exact size of the stock tires and rims... not the ones you used... you dont have to cut the body at all... in fact they "look" stock even...

I ran these for a while on my brushless mini lst. They worked really well on dirt road surfaces, but they sucked on pavement. I know you say you wont be running on asphalt but if you do they will wear out quick. This tire is a dirt only tire if you want them to last.

I agree with Krispy... IF you want to run onroad at all... you wont want these... but I run all offroad... I havent run them yet... but they look to be exactly what I will need on our track... and I always have the slash stockers if I want to play more on hardpack...

I know when I first got my Slash, I put some HPI 26mm rims with street tires on. Are you all talking on or off road tires?

I have been waiting for these to come into stock for a long time...if you want scale look of the real desert racing trucks, these are the way to go...and with a set of their stock car wheels with 0 offset, they look just like the real thing and apparently someone else used the vintage tyres, they are good almost on anything...

Ok. I know nothing about foamies. I take it they're just for on road?
The merv looks good with the slash body on it. Makes it look bigger. The stock body makes it look too wide. Out of proportion almost. Personal preference.

I got these couple of days ago and am absolutely loving it!!! IT's almost the same dimension as the original so they look great and also performs great especially on tarmac and you can just push it and push it and at the end, it just go over-steer and I haven't tried but if you really want, you might even able to power-slide with these like a real real car...hehehe...was going to keep this my secret but there you go! The best kept secret!
