i made one for my self a while back..but it is make of a steel sheet....took about an hour to make. if anyone is interested i can make up a pair for $40 with a steel bumper as well. let me know at bi6bowlofrice@aol.com. it is counter sunk as well as sanding and polished. i am only making 1 or two sets till i find a quicker way of making them. so get them quick. i am trying to put that fiber glass panel into the steel but haven't found the best way yet so i just made the rear ones a little longer on the one side to conpensate for the adjustment. seems to work fine. i'll get pics once i get the polished up and find the cable to my digital camera

i am in the process of builging my entire chasis out of brass tubing. if you have any experiance slodering that would be a big help
i am making my skidplates out of 1/4 tubing but be sure you make tabs to bolt them into the chasis as you will weaken the tubing if you just drill a hole in the tubing. the only reason im making mine out of brass is because i dont have acess to a tig or mig welder. steel or aluminum tubing would work and would probably be better than making brass skidplates

brass tubing will probably not hold up. if it was 1/8 inch steel wire maybe it could hold up. but the reason i made steel skids is because tyhe n-pede is made to take a real beating and the steel skids take the heavy bashers to another level.

well depending on how you make your skids ( i mean the way you solder your tubing) the stronger or weaker they will be. brass is stonger than plastic therefore it should/will hold up better than plastic

if i am wrong about this i will tell you what parts have broken: none so far have broken but not all of the parts are complete yet. right now i have the skids and rear shock tower/diff./enginemount brace. the skids are 1/4 inch tubing with 2mm thick gussets. the rear piece is 3/8 inch with 3mm tabs/gussets which hold the tubing to the rest of the chasis as drilling a hole through the tubing will weaken it
