I have some different combo. of batteries I want to use for 4s and 6s. Can someone help me with diagrams that show the correct and BEST methods for doing this? I need a series and parallel setup.
What are the best connectors for this? Should a person put tie wraps around them in order to locate them in one area or shrink wrap?
I know I must match C rating, and mah ratings but beyond that I am clueless.
Also and this is a big one, do you disconnect them in order to charge the the most effectively and safely? My charger can handle up to 150amps and 36v. and it will discharge them to a chosen safe level before charging.
Anyway help appreciated.

What kind of ESC do you have? Did your EMBE come with the MMM combo? If so, then that ESC already comes wired in series...so get two 2s batteries to run 4s, and two 3s batts. for 6s - and just plug those bad boys in to the existing esc and you are good to go.
If you want to run batts. in parallel, then you would need either two 4s batts., or two 6s batts., and parallel adapters. I'm no good at posting pics, but if you do a search for Hughes500Bob over in the ERBE forum and you can find a pic of his adapters.
As far as if its better to run in parallel or series...its 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other. Series doubles voltage - mah rating stays the same. For parallel, voltage stays same - mah rating doubles.
Best connectors...probably the Traxxas connectors. As far as using tie-wraps - as much as you are going to be running your truck, you will probably get tired of putting them on and off. I have some small velcro "straps" i use for cable management.
You last question is kind of confusing....do you disconnect the batteries to charge them? Yes! You could charge them in series, but you would need a balance plug adapter, and you really need to know what you are doing. Make sure you balance charge your lipos also. If you don't know what this is...then do some research! Lipo batteries are no joke...so educate yourself before you burn down your house! I'm not saying this to scare you, and charging lipos is not exactly rocket science - but you need to know what you are doing. Ask questions, and if it all seems like too much, then just get some nimh batts and you don't really have to worry to much. Good Luck!

if you want , you can run 3 x 2s in series to = 6s .....but you are gonna have to find space for the 3rd battery.

this will tell you exactly how to do it:

also, make sure the lipos are the same age, brand, C rating and mah. this is extremely important.

Wow! This link is exactly what I needed for the hookups :D
I have a blancing charger so I will charge each battery individually.
Velcro straps sounds good. Will I need to fabricate a tray that will work on this truck since it was a nitro or is there a production item for this purpose??????
