Ok , soo been driving this poor truck into the ground! have crashed cartwheeled skidded on its head for like 100 feet!

the body is falling apart , and I need new plastic things to put the pins to keep the body on the car! they have grinded to nothing!

now are their any bodies that will last longer than a few hours? everytime im gonna have to replace bodies gonna cost me a fortune! and alluminium or steel clipper things?

LOL...sounds like you need a Roll Cage. :D

Those things you are scraping away @ are the Body Posts...I believe they are part# 4914R (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=4914r), but check you Parts List book to be sure.

Well, I don't have any experience with Roll Cages or anything and don't really know much about umm (think I saw mention of them in the ERBE section/forum), and I do not know if these would fit the new Maxx but this is what I found from a quick google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us&q=Roll+Cage+E-Maxx&aq=f&aql=&aqi=&oq=).

Here's a novel idea, don't drive like that. Any body will get torn up with that sort of driving. Some may last longER with abuse like that, but they will all end up in the scrap heap before too long.

Some tips to make a beat up body last a bit longer:

1
Use epoxy and brush it on the underside of the body to the beat up/prone to damage, areas of the body. Then while the epoxy is still wet, use mesh fibreglass tape and stick it to the epoxy, but do it on the underside. Then when the epoxy is sticky dry, brush another coat of epoxy on top of the mesh. You have just reinforced the weak areas.

2
If you get a crack in the body, drill a small hole with a normal drill bit and normal drill, at the end of the crack. It should stop the crack so it doesn't get bigger.
If you end up buying an uncut body, that is anything aftermarket, use caution when cutting the lexan. Use a dremel and make sure you have no completely "square" inside corners. ALWAYS round the inside corners off somewhat with a dremel before painting.

From my experience, and I've had lots over the last 20 years in RC, cut the body and get it exactly right before painting. Make sure you drill the holes for the body mounting posts also before painting. You can always tape the holes up so you don't get overspray paint ruining the right side up side of the body. However, if you leave the protective film on it until it's all done, you won't have a problem with any overspray. Use a sanding block and 150 grit sandpaper and smooth out wheel wells, straight edges, and corners before painting. You don't want any little nicks from scissors or they will develop into a crack pretty soon.
A little tip I've experimented with lately is to use 600 grit (or more) sandpaper and wet sand the painting side of the body before painting. Don't do the windows if you are going to leave them clear. This lightly scuffs the body and the paint does stick better and when you roll it, it will stay on longer. You won't see any clouding of the lexan once it's painted.
Of course it goes without saying, use the correct paint for lexan, but my scuffing tip does seem to be helping out.

The BEST tip though, is DON'T DRIVE LIKE THAT :D

All of timie1's tips are good especially the one about cutting before painting. Another tip is read the manual.
