My EMBE came today!!!!!!! I took it out of the box got the batteries out and charged them and off to the LHS for a test run. Their track is a good sized indoor track with alot of jumps and a nice straight away. This truck has SO much power and torque it will wheelie on demand and I mean on demand! There were 5 other guys there with slashes and one had a 1/16 mini revo. The track is 8 feet wide and we all lined up on the straight away and took off and I just couldnt believe how fast this truck was. Before I got the truck out I was watching them all run and thought wow the slashes are fast wonder if I can keep up. Well after I powered her up they were no match for the EMBE. We even did 5 laps and I did come in 3rd but I did flip over so that cost me. Anyway I have 2 3s lipos coming from Dan at Kershaw and I cant even begin to imagine how fast it will be with a set of 3s lipos. Once again Traxxas came out with another GREAT product!. BTW using the batteries that came with it I did run it for 17 minutes and then I quit because I had to leave but the batteries still had juice in them.

Got mine today also but snow didn't allow me to run it.:( It's good to know about the battery life though, I was wondering.

i'm dying here. i ran down to my lhs and picked up mine the day after Christmas and because of the weather we've been having here in the northeast i haven't had a chance to even run it once. argh......

Yeah Im here in Michigan we have about 7 inches on the ground now so I only will go to my lhs to run it or waterproof the esc which voids the warranty so I guess I will just wait until spring :(

I ran mine tonight for the first time...and i'm totally in love with it. As you said OP, the power and torque of this thing is ridiculous on the stock batteries. I myself was bashing NIMHs and how I would never be looking back after Lipos, but after tonight I think I might have to say I was honestly surprised by their power...they are really very good batts.
And esp. how they are marked as 3000mAh I didn't expect what I saw tonight at all...the thing must have lasted a good solid 30 mins. and the batts were barely warm. And trust me I run hard (temp. gauge had the motor around ~115 at max...which was the hottest component)....I was running on a street, back and forth with some grass and loose dirt nearby.
Now with that said I can't imagine this truck on LipoRoids as my buddy RR like to say. :D Seriously...the road itself might begin to tear up. Hmmm   :p My next run would most likely be next weekend, and that's when my TP 3S 45C batts would make their debut. I just decided to run the included NIMHs tonight to break the truck in basically.
But really, after my first bash session tonight WOW is the best word to describe it for real.

What kind of charger are you all using? It's taking me an hour to charge both batterys. Should I buy a dual charger?

i've been told that you'd be better off buying a second charger versus a dual battery charger. at this point i'm only using a duratrax pirahna digital peak charger. i charged up a few packs yesterday and finally got around to trying out my new emaxx. i never actually hit full throttle with the truck. i took it easy with the clutch break in. i did peg the throttle pretty good though from stand stills and slow speeds. i was using 4200 enerG packs. this thing definately has some power. the thing would stand up on demand with the nimh packs. didn't think it would with the weight of the truck. impressive...

I am using the Onyx 230 Battery charger. It charges both lipo and nimh. Hopefully my lipos from kershaw designs will be here thursday or friday. I cant even think what this thing is going to do on 6s Lipos. Should be fun! I will let everyone know the findings with the batteries hopefully saturday.

lol... yup, i got mine the day after xmas. ran down the the lhs and picked it up to take it out of the box and look at it. it's been killing me. i decided last night to at least run a few packs through it and break in the clutch on my somewhat dry road. it was freezing out but had to do it...
