SLEE Z START? or EZ start?

I have had my Nitro Stampede for awhile now and when I plug in the EZ start and push the button I mostly hear the EZ start eletc. motor and my .15 motor dont always turn. why is this? do I need a new bearing?

That would be your one way bearing, it is most likely oily. I got a starter box for my rustler because I got so tired of the one way bearing. Works like a champ every time.

Use some denatured alcohol to clean the one way bearing and the shaft. You might have to do it some more times.

Thanks guys for helping me out. do you think I could buy a new one for a fairly cheap price incase if it dont work cause I took it off and cleaned it w/ some nitro wash

You could if it dose'nt work cleaning it.

You either need a new bearing or the one you have is backwards. Also if your EZ-start wires on the easy start engine are backwards, That makes the motor turn the other direction.

Its most likely it is one of two problems.
1. You have your ez start buttons on the wrong connectors.
2. Your engine is flooded, the engine can actually have so much fuel in it that the piston can't move up and down, to fix the problem simply take your glow plug out turn the truck upside down and push the easy start button until all the fuel is no longer coming out the glow plug hole, put the glow plug back in and it should start, if it is cold out I use a blow drier to heat the engine,it works every time.

Thanks A LOT guys! this really really helped me. just a little bit ago I did almost all that stuff to it and it fired when I got close to the button. it was awsome THANKS
