Bearings are something that gets expensive as quality goes up. I belive the two big names in bearings are boca and acer. The full cerminac ones from acer are supposed to be very nice but at close to 20 each not many people buy them. Before deciding which to buy. Keep looking around so you know your getting the best for your budget.

I like avid bearings myself. $1 a piece for regular. or $5 for ceramic.

Yea..but i cant afford ceramic..and those^^are only one sided ceramic.
Teflon gives about the same performance as ceramic..but im wondering..how are these duratrax ones..anyone have any experience?

I put 500+ runs on these with no problems. Granted it was with a stinger and ni-cads.

Where they better than the stock rubber bearings (As like when you spin the front wheel..it stops within some time..and does the teflon one make the wheels spin faster?)

You are confused on what a ceramic bearing is. Instead of using steel ball bearings ceramic bearings are used. The duratrax bearings use steel ball bearings and teflon seals. The avid revolution ceramics use ceramic balls, a rubber seal on the outside of the bearing and a steel seal on the inside.
Avid bearings are about the best you can buy for the price whether you are getting ceramic or steel.

The duratrax bearings are just sealed with teflon. Other than that they are a standard bearing. On high rpm areas you should at least consider using ceramic becuase they will offer much less restiance than the steel ones. Also dont forget to use a good bearing lube. I like acer sin.

The one product from Duratrax I would never buy is their bearings. Not only me, but 5 other friends tried them, rubber sealed, teflon sealed, they all had a hhigh failure rate.
Avid Revolutions series bearings my man. They are the best way to go. Tough, I use them on all my RC's anywhere I can get them placed. For $1.00 per bearing you can't lose. 1 side is rubber sealed which is a better seal but has a bit more friction than the side that has the metal shield/seal. By facing the rubber sealed side towards the side the bearing gets dirty you get the advantage of keeping the dirt out yet a more efficient rolling bearing. They are excellent and I have used them for 4 years now. I've not had 1 fail, I have them in my wheel axle carriers, turnbuckles, tranny and cb...
