Is there any limited slip to these diffs?

It will all depend on what diff fluid you run in them since they are a Revo sealed diff. So the higher the thinkness of fluid you put in the less they will slip and send power to the other wheel making them somewhat of a limited slip.

you can get a similar effect by filling them with various viscosities (thickness) of oil. the thicker the oil, the more resistance it has on the gears inside the diff and slows them down, thus distributing the power more evenly to the wheels.

edit: beat me to it revolt0 :P

I use plumbers silicone grease in my Rustler diff, works good. Anyone use anything like that? I just don't see a "fluid" giving it the resistance I want. I have heard of people using silly puddy too, but I don't think I would want mine THAT tight.

them being the revo diffs you can also use the revo spool in the rear as for my plan...

Any ideas what diff fluid will be in there from the factory? ... and how well will it apply a limited slip action?

Diff fluid can be as thick as tree sap. It will provide you with as much posi as you want, providing you get the correct wt.

Edit: My guess is greased from the factory. You would have to clean them out and fill with the appropriate oil.

They will be oil filled just like the revo's are, not grease, but you can get some really thick oils that is extremly thick. I think the Summit uses 100K in it's diffs.

Yeah I remember my first kit. The tub style RC10GT. It took like what seemed forever to build it. I then built 3 more like it for my buddies. I will say it has been nice buying pre-built....until a wheel nut came of on my son's Stampede VXL because I didn't go over it first. I now go over the entire vehicle first when I buy a new one.
