A noob wouldn't put down over $600 for their first RC truck. The EMBE goes 50mph out of the box with 3S LiPos. It wouldn't sound very impressive if Traxxas said it could go 35mph out of the box with a MMM system.

I run dual Promatch's in my truck ( but they are nimhs) and i get about 40mph on a straight stretch...to me that's fast enough. more speed= more broken parts.

you nead 2s or 3s lipos if you want 50+mph.
