5mm pinions?

I see it uses 32 pitch gears but is it gonna have a 5mm shaft motor? I haven't seen to many 3.14 pinions in 32 pitch . Also is it a e revo spur?

It'll be a 1/8" shaft unless Traxxas redesigned the rotor in the VXL motor, which I highly doubt. There's no need for a 5mm shaft in a truck like this.

FWIW, all of the brushed E-Revo and E-Maxx pinions are 0.8MOD (32P) 1/8" bore. Robinson racing makes a ton of them as well.

no its not. You could run a micro motor with a mamba monster if you wanted.

I am sure he meant for the MMM setup which would include the motor :rolleyes:

In that case he would be right, 5mm is needed. But really it doesnt matter, buy whatever pinion your setup requires. Stock is 1/8"
