hi guys, after ruining a few screw, i was wondering to buy the e-revo screws kit by tony (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/27573/n/Tonys-Screws-Traxxas-E-Revo-Screw-Kit).
i also tought to the rcscrewz kit (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/35229/n/RCScrewz-Traxxas-E-Revo-Stainless-Steel-Screw-Kit), but i think i prefer tony's screws..
but the question is: i ruined a few screws 'cause i used a set of wrench i bought at my LHS, and i live in europe and have metric scale..
i don't understand if the e-revo comes with metric or inch scale screws, but i noticed that is more easy for me to use the tool that come with the revo instead of the tool i bought at my LHS.
so i decided to buy a new set of wrench, i read many post and i decided for team losi 4 piece wrench set, but i don't know if i have to buy the metric (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/5528/n/Team-Losi-4-Piece-Race-Wrench-Set-Metric) or the US size (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/5527/n/Team-Losi-4-Piece-Race-Wrench-Set-US-Sizes) considering that i also buy tony's screws kit.
I noticed on tony's website that he have metric and us size screws, but wich i will find in the kit, metric or us sizes?
so, what wrench set i have to buy, metric or us?
thanks for any help!:p

1.5mm 2.0mm 2.5mm and 3mm should pretty much take care of you and by all means get the Tony's screws not the rcscrewz

Buy the Tony's Screws kit for the ERBE, it has everything you need, and is IMO the best set of screws ever made...they are 12.9 hardened-steel. The RCScrewz kit is crap, the screws are made from a very soft version of stainless-steel, and the heads will strip if you breath on them too hard.
Also, IMO, the best set of tools you can buy are the Integy Ti-Ni (titanium nitride coated) tools, they are just plain awesome. I know Integy is junk, but they don't make these tools, they are made by another company for Integy and then sold under the Integy name. get the 7-piece set and you will get all the metric and standard sizes you will ever need, including every single size on the ERBE.

thanks guys for the advices!! i ordered tony's screws!!
about the tools, i read about integy tools, and about their Ti-Ni coated but i don't like the handle; i 've seen that integy makes 2 different set of tools with different handle, but i prefer team losi wrench that however have Ti-Ni coated.

+1 on the Tony's screw kit. Excellent customer service from Tony as well.
Hey Revoš I was wondering: with the 7 pc integy hex tools do you just use the 5/64" for screws with a 2mm head? 5/64" works out to about 1.98mm so it's close, but a fraction smaller and could lead to stripped heads (although not with Tony's kit IMO). Or did you buy the additional 2mm tip and swap it out?
Cheers.

I used the 5/64" for a long, long time and never had a problem, even on weaker screws, but I now have a 2mm and really can't tell the difference. Personally, I still use my 5/64" because it is habbit to grab it.

so you never noticed difference between us and metric size? or only for the 2mm? what about 1.5 - 2.5 - 3 ?

The 7 piece set Revoš was talking about comes with a mix of metric and imperial sizes. The 1.5, 2.5 and 3mm are included IIRC, but not the 2mm.

I use the same Integy drivers as well as Tony's Screws (keep the New Jersey economy rolling, boys!) and I have never had a problem with using the 5/64 for the 2mm-drive screws. If anything, Tony's are a little too tight sometimes, and it's slightly difficult to remove the driver.
Additionally, I have measured over and over again and always get the same result: Tony's are always within tolerance, but also always slightly greater in diameter than Traxxas screws.

JE Spares in Manchester, UK sell great stainless screw sets. I've checked and they will do an E-Revo set although it's not listed on thier website. I've used these kits with my Losi drivers for years and they are just plain bomb-proof!
Also come in high-tensile and torx, if you prefer

If you like the Team Losi wrenches .... try the Losi metric drivers. I really like mine as they are easy to grip.

Stay away from stainless-steel screws...they are soft and the hexes strip extremely easy. For less money you can get a full Tony's Screws set and never strip another screw again.

You can get Integy handles in smooth or knurled for extreme grip, and they come with all the sizes you need for all of Tony's screws.
On a side-note, you can get Integy tools in both Ti-Ni and spring-steel, but spring-steel sucks.
Edit: I am not trying to force these tools on you, just showing you the options available, and hoping to to let you know just how good these tools really are. And if it matters, these tools are not manufactured by Integy, they are manufactured by another tool company and then branded with the Integy name. Oh, you can also buy metric & standard nut-driver sets, multi-size flat-head and Phillips-head screwdriver sets, and all kinds of matching stuff.
Regular smooth:

yeah baby, images! i have not yet but just looking the handling of team losi seems great!
but i've taked a decision! i'll take the losi metric set from amainhobbies, and..........
so, my LHS dont sell many stuff (oh dear old europe), but sell integy product and i decided to take also this 4
Integy Ti-Nitride Wrench Hex 1.5mm
http://www2.gpmd.com/image/i/intr2235.jpg
Integy Ti-Nitride Wrench Hex 2.0mm
http://www2.gpmd.com/image/i/intr2236.jpg
Integy Ti-Nitride Wrench Hex 2.5mm
http://www2.gpmd.com/image/i/intr2237.jpg
Integy Ti-Nitride Wrench Hex 3.0mm
http://www2.gpmd.com/image/i/intr2238.jpg
so i can take the losi (that came with their toolbox), to use outside, and the integy to use at home, plus integy's seems longer than losi's and sometimes could be useful.

When you post pics from Tower, you have to remove the "2" from the "www2" for the pics to work. No one can see them.

I bought a second complete set of Integy tools for that very reason, so I can stop using the one set on RC and everything else! Now I have my RC set, and a set for everything else.

The only time I've managed to strip the hexes on JE Spares screws, I was ( stupidly ) using a 24V Bosch drill to do it up. It may be that your hex driver was on the small side of tolerance or simply that the screws were made from a soft form of stainless steel. After all, stainless steels can range in hardness from 70 to over 200HRB. All I can say is I have never experienced a problem with JE Spares screws when tightening them using my Losi, or EDS drivers.
